Pc New Horizons would like to dedicate this area of our website as a courtesy to existing and non existing customers. In this section you will find many freeware applications that we use on customers computers when serviced by us. The downloads are from a second party link and they are secure, however caution must always be used prior to downloading. Please download at your own risk as we are not responsible for the end result.

Document Reader

* Adobe Reader 10.0 Adobe Reader is free software that lets you open, view, search, and print Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files.

Imaging

* Picasa 3.8 Build 117.29 Picasa is software that helps you instantly find, edit and share all the pictures on your PC. Every time you open Picasa, it automatically locates all your pictures (even ones you forgot you had) and sorts them into visual albums organized by date with folder names you will recognize. You can drag and drop to arrange your albums and make labels to create new groups. Picasa makes sure your pictures are always organized. Picasa also makes advanced editing simple by putting one-click fixes and powerful effects at your fingertips. And Picasa makes it a snap to share your pictures, you can email, print photos home, make gift CDs, instantly share via Hello, and even post pictures on your own blog. The latest version includes Web Albums (along with other improvements), but requires that you request an account from Google.

WinRAR offers a graphic interactive interface utilizing mouse and menus as well as the command line interface. WinRAR is easier to use than many other archivers with the inclusion of a special “Wizard” mode which allows instant access to the basic archiving functions through a simple question and answer procedure.

Anti-Spyware

* HijackThis 2.0.4 (Advace Users Only) In depth tool for scanning your computer for Spyware. HijackThis scans areas of your registry and hard drive and returns a log of items which it detects. As this tool is recommended for advanced users only, we recommend you run a scan and then post your log file on a support forum, where someone will be able to suggest which entries to remove.
